Manufacturing Efficiency

If you are manufacturing nutritional and dietary supplements, you know it can be a challenge to meet production demands and eliminate product defects. At Colorcon, we are dedicated to assuring our customers' success by continuously investigating new applications of our products to help meet those challenges.

Below are links to Colorcon application studies conducted that can help manufacturers improve their product quality, eliminate waste and lower their overall costs.

For more information Contact Colorcon, we will be happy to discuss solutions to your product development needs.

Coating Soft, Waxy Cores

Dietary supplement cores can be rough and waxy making it difficult to produce a good quality product. Colorcon film coating products can reduce defects and protect friable cores giving your product a superior finish and a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Reduce Coated Tablet Defects

Our high efficiency film coatings can help reduce manufacturing costs by: increasing the capacity of your existing equipment, reducing coating material consumption, and lowering failure rate and waste.

Improve Stability

Herbal extracts, prepared by an alcohol/water extraction method, tend to be very hydroscopic in nature. A drug layering process, followed by application of a moisture barrier film coating can help improve the stability of products processed in this way.

Increase Packaging Efficiency

Colorcon has investigated some of the key factors that will influence the efficiency of blister packaging lines. What we found is that packaging film coated tablets was much more efficient than packaging uncoated tablets.
