Opadry® AMB Aqueous Moisture Barrier Film Coating System

 

Opadry AMB is a pigmented or white, film coating system specifically developed by Colorcon® for the coating of oral solid-dosage forms that need to be protected from environmental moisture. Studies on moisture penetration and transmission rates have demonstrated that Opadry AMB provides unrivaled protection, making it the product of choice for immediate release tablets and multi-particulates that require extreme moisture protection.                        


Performance is matched with a quality appearance. The high adhesion polymer provides excellent logo definition, and a smooth tablet finish. Opadry AMB improves efficiency by reducing the time dedicated to the coating cycle via fast hydration and being ready for use within 45 minutes. Production flexibility is also enhanced because the product is easy to dispense, and an aqueous soluble polymer means more rapid equipment clean down with water for faster turnaround times is possible. 
 

Opadry AMB is recommended for use in applications in which Colorcon’s Opadry II® 85 Series™ PVA-Based, High Productivity Film Coatings does not provide sufficient moisture protection. Like Opadry II, Opadry AMB has achieved global regulatory acceptance for multinational use and is available to customers worldwide.
