Colorcon® can create virtual designs that are color-calibrated to exact Colorcon film coating formulations. These two-dimensional images reduce the need to physically formulate and produce each tablet possibility, allowing your commercial team to evaluate the design quickly. The image is printed on photographic-grade paper to show tablet features with shape, color, logo or imprint, and surface appearance.
Tablet Icon® Models
Tablet models are produced as an accurate representation of shape, size, and colored coating system. Using a specialized process, these color-accurate prototypes conform to the geometric specifications of the virtual design, so you can experience how the final tablet will look and feel.
Tablet models postpone the need for placebo production and eliminate the trial coating runs that are usually necessary to evaluate multiple colored coatings for tablet design and trade dress decisions. These models are great tools for internal assessment of design possibilities, or in external research efforts, such as focus groups.
